ProSeal™ is a family of closed system transfer devices to safely transfer drugs and reduces exposure throughout the drug delivery chain from pharmacy compounding to patient administration. It ensures air tight transfer with minimal components. This improves the safety of healthcare professionals against the risk of exposure to liquids and vapors of hazardous drugs. There is no need for additional filters and it requires the use of standard syringes.
ProSeal™ Injection Site and all its corresponding interface membranes exhibit 100% efficiency in achieving a dry connection in the communicating surfaces in a fluid transfer.
Microbial Ingress testing is a method to check the container closure integrity for sterility of products. ProSeal™ CSTD is confirmed to prevent microbial ingress of at least 168 hours (7 days).
When connected to a drug vial, the ProSeal™ Vial Adaptor equalizes the difference in pressure. Without a pressure equalization system, differences in pressure can lead to the generation of fine aerosols that may escape into the air and expose the environment, patients, and healthcare professionals to hazardous drugs.
